Find us

Our main office is on the second floor of the NINE Edinburgh BioQuarter builing (map), on the south-east edge of the Edinburgh BioQuarter. When you reach the building, please come to the reception on the second floor and you will be directed to us.

  • By car: Access for cars is via Little France Road, off of Old Dalkeith Road/A7, marked with the large purple 'BioQuarter Gate 3' sign. Do be aware that our building is not directly accessible directly from the hospital side of the BioQuarter area. Some limited parking for visitors to our centre is available by prior arrangement - please email us beforehand to check if a space will be available. Parking is not covered by the University of Edinburgh permit system. Driving to the centre can take approximately 20 minutes from the centre of town, and 30 minutes from Edinburgh Airport, dependent on traffic.
  • By bus: There are several good bus routes from the centre of town to the Edinburgh BioQuarter - you can plan your route on the Lothian Buses website. Buses from the centre of town include the Lothian 24, 8, 33, 24, and 38, and generally take around 45 minutes. This map of bus stops in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary / BioQuarter area may be helpful. You can then walk to NINE from your bus stop, following the purple signs going behind the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine (see the route shown in red in this annotated map). Both stepped and step-free paths are available. The walk will take 5 - 10 minutes.
  • By bike: Cycling to our building from the city centre takes approximately 25 minutes at moderate speed. Cycle lanes are provided on both sides of Dalkeith Road between Cameron Toll and BioQuarter, and an off-road cycle path connects BioQuarter with Craigmillar and the east of the city. Sheltered bike stands are available.

Disabled access

Our office has an accessible entry way, wide door lifts, disabled parking and accessible toilets. Facilities are in an open plan format with wide corridors, flat floors with no ramps or steps (other than those between floors, where the lifts can be used as an alternative). A desk with variable height settings is available on request. Please contact us for any further information or requirements.
